On September 27, presenting all comments on speeches made during the public hearing on “South Caucasus, security issues” held in the Georgian Azeri residence Tekali village, the well-known Azerbaijani political analyst Zardusht Alizadeh said, “The Russian Federation is the only country in the world that can destroy the U.S. and the whole world in half an hour. To say that Russia’s power is stuck in the past is not true. Russia has very powerful nuclear-missile forces, and not a bad economy. In fact, Europe, currently, is dependent on Russian energy, gas, oil and so on. It’s the first. The fact that they (the Russians – note V.S.) are predeterminers of processes taking place in the South Caucasus, only a naive man cannot see them. Elections in Azerbaijan: they decided who would be the president, it wasn’t me to decide, election in Armenia: the major candidate goes to Russia, and returns and is not nominated, and so forth. One of the candidates is suggesting ideas that are contrary to their position and he gets 2 bullets. Who does this? Naturally is done by Russia.”
