Students expressed their discontent to Andrey Sorokin

October 23,2013 23:01

A group of students of the Faculty of YSU have declared a students’ strike and held a protest action in front of the OSCE Office in Yerevan. “Armenian youth is not asleep and are willing to stand next to our soldiers,” said the students in front of the office, and with the calls “we demand justice” approached the office. The students were protesting against OSCE indifference and silence regarding the accident of the Armenian soldier deceased by the Azerbaijani serviceman in Tavush marz on October 22.

“It was the next provocation of Azerbaijan. A conscript died from dead shots released by Azerbaijani side on civilian and military vehicles running by the road. During the ceasefire, the indifferent attitude of international structures against Azerbaijani aggression became the reason of the death of another soldier. The indifference of OSCE executing intermediary mission in peace-making process of NKR problem is especially disturbing. We condemn the Azerbaijani authorities’ serial dirty provocation,” said the President of YSU students’ council. No one met the students from the office, later they were told from inside that the Head of OSCE office in Yerevan Andrey Sorokin is not in the office. But the students waited until he came and handed their written discontent to him. Sorokin promised to become familiar with the incident, and respond.
