The issue of defending homosexuals ‘casts a fight’ among intellectuals

November 05,2013 20:43

A few days ago, dozens of prominent Armenians of Diaspora, including Atom Egoyan, Diana Ter- Hovanesyan, Arsine Khanjyan, Serj Tankian, Skaut Tufankjyan, have united around the statement of equality and justice for everyone in Armenia by defending the homosexuals. Local Armenian intellectuals reacted quite negatively to this fact, and they called on their colleagues in the Diaspora “not to give advice from afar.” Aravot.am asked the poet, publicist Marine Petrosyan whether this noise was appropriate or not. She answered, “The response was strange, and the letter was natural. People who were having very bad attitude to homosexuals, it was clear, but it was surprising that broader audience was involved. In reality, the issue is sometimes artificially escalated and politicized from Moscow.” To our question whether she would sign underneath the letter, Marine Petrosyan so responded, “I do not like letters, otherwise I would sign, in general. I understand their logic. I have always expressed my opinion on these issues. As for the speculation that the issue is marginalized, I would like to say that in this particular case those expressing opinion are our famous compatriots from Diaspora, and it was an attitude not only to homosexuality, but human freedom.” We were interested in how beneficial the escalation of the issue is for Russia, the poetess replied, “It depends on the policy of Russia, exactly with the Customs Union. Russia competes with America, Europe in the region, and the competition was available during the years of the Cold War, which was based on the ideology of communism. Now, it is gone, RF has chosen more reactionary ideology than the communism, and this ideology is connected with the church. It is presented that the West is an embodiment of degeneracy, but RF  is en embodiment of spiritual morality. And, the organizations, like the Parents’ Committee, that support all of these, are organizations coming from the RF. With regard to the question, whether the homosexuals need protection, I would say that they are in need of protection everywhere because they are a minority.” Actor, screenwriter Harek Duryan conveyed the following regarding the same issue, “I never say that sexual minorities should be executed by shooting, but we should not bother them either. I am against them that they have a child, adopt, and my children would see it, that it is presented as a natural phenomenon and as a “law”. And to the opinions that the issue is politicized, Mr. Duryan responded as follows, “If you knew how I do not care about these issues….”

In my view, the actors and actresses, plus the singers that are behind homosexual’s rights are themselves have suspicious backgrounds. If you want to know about it more, check, who’s behind the billions of dollars in the U.S. and the Canadian movie industries. The main Barons in that industry are Homosexuals and Non Chrisitans who promote their way of life in the world, including Armenia. If Armenia wants to stay Morally right and just a Christian nation according to the wishes of the Lord Jesus Christ, then she shouldn’t accept this uncommon and confusing behaviour which will destroy the family way of life and then the Nation. The Choice is yours.
