A short time ago, about 2-hour concert of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia headed by Vladimir Spivakov at Gyumri Dramatic Theatre named after Vardan Achemyan ended, which marked the completion of “Gyumri – CIS cultural capital 2013” project. Gyumri audience could not part with Vladimir Spivakov for a long time, which makes the eminent conductor go back on stage and continue the concert. But, most interestingly was the entering of Gyumri residents to the theater. As we have already informed, the tickets were limited, for about 600 seats, and naturally not everyone got it. However, many of Gyumri citizens, on hearing about Vladimir Spivakov’s concert, hurried to the theatre trying to go inside without tickets. They were supplicating, in the real sense of the word, the official of the municipality who was taking the role of the porter to allow them to attend the concert. Many of them were seeking support from Gyumri angels who were standing there and maintaining public order. In short, there was no room to stand in the hall, Vladimir Spivakov had brought almost all Gyumri residents out from their houses, who were not only astonishingly listening, but also experiencing severe memories about the earthquake along with the conductor. To the point, Gyumri City Hall, on seeing that it was not possible to host the whole Gyumri residents in the theatre due to restriction of tickets, organized a live broadcast in the center of Sayat-Nova Street.
