Armenian wine defeated Georgian, Italian and many others’ wines

Armenian wine “Malishka Areni”, so to speak, defeated Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Georgian wines, and also those produced in many countries, with its characteristic flavor and the beam. “Malishka Areni”, which is an aged wine, was awarded gold medal in the nomination of “Dry red table wines” at “ENOEXPO 2013 International Wine Trade Fair” held in Poland on Nov. 13-15. This was told in the conversation with Aravot.am by Avag Harutyunyan, owner of “Maran” company, president of the Association of Winemakers. As presented by Mr. Harutyunyan, the fair held in Poland is one of the most important and representative events as such in Europe. “More than 500 wines from numerous wineries of many countries around the world: Italy, Spain, Austria, Portugal, Hungary, Greece, Serbia, Georgia, Canada, Cyprus, Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and others, participated in Polish “ENOEXPO 2013” fair. This is the most important competition in the domestic market of Poland, it is a very important competition with its operation: the rating of the Armenian wine will drastically increase,” said Mr. Harutyunyan, noting that this is the company’s first participation in this contest. Prior to this, as Mr. Harutyunyan said, “Bagratuni” was awarded gold medal in the “International Organization of Vine and Wine» (OIV) World Contest held this year in Moscow in the nomination of “white table wines”. “OIV” is the most important and basic organization of wine-making in the world, headquartered in Paris. 302 wines from 28 countries participated in the contest in Moscow, and, in fact, Armenian wine, again, was awarded gold medal, it means that Armenia wine is starting to be recognized in Europe.”
