Today, the fir trees planted in the courtyard of the State Drama Theatre after Vardan Achemyan in Gyumri in honor of Vladimir Putin President were collected. These trees appeared there diligently almost at midnight, just hours prior to the RF President’s visit. On seeing artificial grass and small fir trees in the courtyard of the theatre in the middle of winter season, Gyumri residents started to make various jokes about it. In the conversation with Aravot.am, some co-workers of the theatre were telling excitedly that “stingy guys” from Yerevan came, gathered all the decorations, and breathlessly went away. Apparently, they were taking about the Ministry of Culture, as this Ministry had organized the works in the theater ahead of Vladimir Putin’s visit. Ordinary Gyumri residents were complaining, saying, “the New Year is coming, didn’t we deserve these few trees, which all together cost at least 100 thousand drams?”
