December 06,2013 16:18

A Dutch citizen, Rick Adrians, was among 110 demonstrators detained during the protest against Russia’s President Vladimir Putin’s visit. He was detained from Baghramyan street, when the action was completed. This was said to Aravot.am by Rick Adrians’s girlfriend, Byurakn Ishkhanyan, who was also detained on the same day from Baghramyan street, “For six hours, I left in the police department, and our other friends were kept at least four hours. We were demanding a lawyer, who came only about three hours later. We were detained without explanation, they were not explained why until the time of examination when they presented the Code of Administrative Offences, Article 182 on failing to execute the legal demand of the police, but it is absurd, we were not asked anything, they stopped the car, and made us get on the car.” As told by Byurakn, her Dutch friend is an ethnographer and is in Armenia on business. “He had come to study the Armenian culture. He was surprised greatly and was telling the police that he was not a citizen of Armenia, but they were not paying attention. Now, he is preparing articles and is going to tell about the happenings in the international media.” Both, Byurakn and Dutchman Rick Adrians, will also appeal the Articles brought up against them.
