Official Yerevan proposed a new road map to Turks for Armenian-Turkish rapprochement

December 10,2013 15:33

Our source of the RA Foreign Ministry claim that Armenia has developed a new roadmap for Armenian-Turkish rapprochement, which 10 days ago was personally transferred to Ahmet Davutoğlu via closed channels. It is obvious that Erdoğan’s government, starting from the motto “Zero problems with neighbors” and presently reaching the reality of “serious problems with all neighbors”, has a great problem with saving his traits in the international platforms, and, basically, was not against in seriously reviewing the roadmap proposed by Armenia in secrecy. The same source claims that the roadmap is about three specific destinations.

As informed by our Foreign Ministry sources, Armenia has transferred the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu the roadmap of the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement via secret channels, which consists of three specific points:

1. Turkey shall publicly recognize the fact of the Armenian Genocide, its commitments, and shall repent before Armenians around the world.

2. Shall immediate open the Armenian-Turkish border, and establish diplomatic relations with Armenia.

3. Afterward, Turkey shall be able to come up with peacemaking efforts on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, and shall obtain the right to implementing public programs in the spheres of war rhetoric control, prevention of border incidents, withdrawal of snipers, and preparation of public for peace.

It is assumed that during Davutoğlu’s visit to Yerevan, he would have the chance to inform Edward Nalbandian about the stance of the official Ankara regarding the roadmap proposed by Armenia.
