“Thy eye-witness present at this session would see that the Police was trying to make this session a comedy, absurdity,” said Argishti Kiviryan, Armenia Today website coordinator, today, after the preliminary hearing at the Administrative Court regarding the suit of the Police against him. According to his word, during the trial it was not even clear from him why he was forcedly detained on September 4 near the building of Arabkir Police Department.
“Police representatives have not been able to answer these questions in any way. There is a folk saying: if the lyric poet’s song ends, they start goofing around. Such goofing around you may see by the police officers. This can be qualified as an absurd theater, and they exert pressures through this absurd theater.” Mr. Kiviryan assured that the police acted illegally, illegitimately. “Numerous illegalities were carried out against me… if any count, in the slightest percent, tries to act legally, it is obvious that, under this circumstance, the claim of the Police against Mr. Kiviryan would not only be rejected, but the issue of accountability of respective police officers would be raised.”
