December 17,2013 16:57

Aravot.am asked Ashot Hakobyan, candidate of psychological sciences, to evaluate the stance of Vladimir Putin in Armenia, which many described it as as visit full of imperialistic ambitions. In response to our question, the psychologist described the Armenia-Russia relations bringing an example from household, “You know, the comparison properties may seem artificial, but in such relationship, I, as a psychologist, always make the comparison on the level of an individual, group, or family.

If I trust my family internal, first and foremost, marital relationship, the issue of bringing up my children, domestic life of my family to my neighbor to settle them, then who am I… No matter what level is my domestic life, it does not matter whether I am running it in harmony, or I am setting my family problems, everything is normal, maybe I live in weak living conditions, I run a poor life, however, I run a beautiful life, I live with my family in harmony, I am saying again, who I will be in my family if my neighbor regulates my relations, my domestic life, and my children’s upbringing. And, I would constantly refer to my neighbor, and continuously bow before my neighbor, saying, hey bro, you know what, let you decide my household management. You decide how my child should be educated, what language should I speak in my family, how should I accept or not accept your language, how I would stimulate, duplicate your relationship. Well, who I would be in the family, of course, nonentity… Now, let’s transform this whole model to across ethnic relations: Armenian nation is in relationship with Russian nation.

Where is your interest? Do you know you interest, bro? You protect your own interest; it has been over a few thousand years that the world is developing in this way. You protect your own interest and you would enjoy respect, I do not think that a great bike should be invented here. Long ago, the British diplomacy has said that England has no permanent friends, England has permanent interests. Do we have our own interests? Have we outlined our interests? Where does it start? And, where does it ends? And, at the very moment, whom is it advantageous for me to make neighbors with? Whom is it beneficial for me to cooperate with? So that I can resolve my problem; not yours, but my problem. Sorry, I do not care about your problem, because I think that you also are thinking about your problems at your home. Think, bro, how long you want. And, what is the areas of our cooperation? Why should I bow”- says the psychologist. He also said that he is sorry for Serzh Sargsyan to be treated like that. As for the Customs Union, according to our interlocutor, would give nothing to Armenia, even if they discover its meaning, its’ all the same, the Armenian nation does not benefit from it. In fact, our interlocutor is almost convinced that the Customs Union will not happen.
