“The problem is in the domain of law enforcement investigation, and I am sure that in the near future the latter will provide clear assessments about this issue”,- such opinion was expressed by Mihran Hakobyan, Deputy Prime Minister, RPA Council member, in the conversation with Aravot.am, responding to our question of what the Deputy Prime Minister knows about the “offshore” scandal. In response to Tigran Urikhanyan’s today’s statement, the Deputy Prime Minister said, “The PAP Speaker also made a reference to this issue, with regard to which I should note that being engaged in the “offshore science” is not the most effective way of demagogy.
No authorities of independent Armenia has denied the existence of corruption. The period of coalition governance with participation of PAP was not also an exception. The matter is in the size of corruption and the methods of fight against it. However, corruption is not the only problem that hinders the development of the country. For me, personally, it would be interesting to learn about the details of “cheating” German business Stefan Lakshauber in Armenia. Does this and a number of similar scandals do not impede the access of foreign investors to Armenia?”
