Lyubik Chibukhchyan’s ode to Azeri was criticized

January 17,2014 20:02

Adviser to the governor of Tavush, member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia, Honored Worker of Culture, Lyubik Chibukhchyan’s book-ode to Azerbaijani singer Elnara Abdulaeva was criticized in Tavush marz. In this regard, Samvel Beglaryan, President of Tavush Regional Division of the Writers’ Union of Armenia, said, “How is it possible to dedicate a book to a singer, who, in the video “Օ nightingale” which Lyubik like it, has placed a nightingale in the cage, a symbol of Karabakh lost for Azeri. Elnara has emphasized in her speech that her song is dedicated to Karabakh. In Soviet times, in Ijevan and Noyemberyan regions, people naively, without understanding, were singing the song “Hey, magpie-magpie” dedicated to Nabi, an Azerbaijani bandit, who had killed many of Armenian fugitives. Lyudik’s ode to Azerbaijani singer reminds me about it.” Maria Dilbaryan, resident of Ijevan city, has posted on her Facebook page that after Lyubik Chibukhchyan’s ode to Elnara Abdulaeva, has regretted that he had participated in the Karabakh war and had ruined his health over there. Anna Sahakyan, journalist, resident of bordering village Baghanis, Tavush region, said, “The art is still art, but when someone equates the dignity of the nation to zero, you reserve the right to speak and criticize. Abdulayeva also responded on Chibukhchyan’s book. According to her, as if the whole world knows that Armenians are stealing the pieces of Azerbaijan culture, that there is pain in her song associated with the loss of Karabakh, Khojaly victims, and can not be forgotten those things. First, let’s talk about Azerbaijani culture, the whole world mentioned by the singer knows that the culture of her country was formed with the relics stolen from the Armenian culture, on the grounds of lie and falsehood. The nation, first, should have a history, then culture. When there was Armenian nation and Armenian culture, Azerbaijan name did not exist on the world map and in any page of the history. Look at any Azerbaijani channel and you will see their troubadours who are calling out the word Karabakh in each line of their song. Mr. Chibukhchyan, they curse and reproach the Armenian nation, do you agree? I hope that you will make at least one attempt to translate their songs. The Karabakh they are dreaming about is the heart of the Armenian that liberated from the enemy through blood, the Karabakh of their song is the Armenian land and water, and you, dear poet, sing the praises, let’s see, where we will be headed to.”
