“Artik” penitentiary inmate, Artur Ayvazyan, today, told Aravot.am how the prosecutors Gagik Jhangiryan, Aghvan Hovsepyan, Ashot Melikjanyan, former head of the National Security Service Karlos Petrosyan, supported by Hrachya Harutyunyan, have tried to get false testimony from him with regard to October 27 organizers: assassination attempt against Samvel Arakelyan, attempted murder against Vahan Shirkhanayan and Komandos and related all other cases. “They were doing everything to combine these cases in one proceeding and consider them closed. The then, I was the head of a security service of a statesman, and received an offer that if I give testimony, even on the plane, which they require from me, they will send me to a European country with a great payment and will arrested everyone who are targets for them. After that, I will come back to Armenia and have an interesting job. I disagreed to get into a criminal transaction. My investigation and trial testimonies are in criminal case No.132.08. 501, in which I detail the offer and terms made by the state official, what testimonies the investigation group wanted to extort from me. No investigation was held with regard to these cases, no one was brought to responsibility. Should I have agreed to these criminal transactions made by Aghvan Hovsepyan some 13 years ago, today, allegedly the organizers of October 27 event were to be disclosed. Prosecutor’s Office, on behalf of Aghvan Hovsepyan, would indicate that the organizers of October 27 were revealed, assassinations against Samvel Arakelyan, Vahan Khorkhoruni, and Vahan Poghosyan, and assassination attempts against Vahan Shirkhanyan and Commandos, and other crimes. Proceedings executing the bodies, failing to receive my testimony, considered these cases unrevealed.” At the moment when we were interested to know from Ayvazyan against who they were trying to extort testimony, the phone conversation was interrupted.
