“To be honest, I thought that Serzh Sargsyan will be refrained from directly intervening in this debate and will ensure a favorable situation for him, when he will appear in the role of the king, who is not in a hurry to give up his throne”,- this opinion was expressed by Hmayak Hovhannisyan, President of Political Union of Armenia, answering to the question of Aravot.am of how he will react to the response of the President of Armenia regarding the future Kocharyan-Sargsyan debate.

Hmayak-Hovhannisyan

Continuing the thought, he said. “I was thinking that the President of Armenia would not interfere, maintaining his high level. But my optimism was not fulfilled, he intervened.

Here is the question of what Kocharyan’s answer will be.” To the question whether it is possible to say after the respond of the President of Armenia that the Prime Minister’s issue of resignation is closed, Mr. Hovhannisyan responded as follows, “The fact that Serzh Sargsyan is not planning to change the prime minister, has long been known, it is not news. But the fact that the opposition is submitting a claim to resign the prime minister, this is also a fact. Further developments will show what posture His Excellency the public will adopt, it will be clear in the coming months.”

Vahagn Khachatryan

ANC representative, Vahagn Khachatryan, is not at all interested in this. In the conversation with us, he expressed the following opinion, “The problem is not only with the prime minister, but the total power. I do not want to go deep into this particular issue, I have nothing to say, and unless everything is proceeding like this, the authorities have nothing to do but leave.”
