There are many wrong and unjust things in Armenia. However, they are derivative at large. The foundation is the delusion, which makes our major political parties and the majority of the population suffer. They do not mind that Armenia will eventually lose its independence, instead, in their opinion, acquiring a “security”. In my opinion, it is an illusion.
If something does not belong to me, how I can be sure that one day the real owner will not make a decision to give that thing to someone else. If Karabakh issue is actually up to Russia as Zori Balayan thinks, so what guarantee there is that Russia at some point, driven by its interests, will not transfer given part of our country to Azerbaijan. When once we handed over the eligibility of solving our problems to the Bolshevik sitting in the Kremlin, they found it appropriate to give in Kars and Ardahan to Turkey, and the same Karabakh and Nakhchevan to Azerbaijan.
It is unjust to blame “Russians” for it, firstly, because people sitting in the Kremlin are not only Russians by ethnic, but also Jews, Armenians, as well as a Georgian, whose evil deeds, by the way, Russia’s current leadership is diligently trying to justify, offending the feelings of millions of people. In those years, accusing the people sitting in the Kremlin for it was also pointless, they were carried out the policy of their country.
Armenians living and especially ruling at that time in Armenia must be accused, who gave their country to the Kremlin as a “security guarantor”. Thus, if Karabakh and Armenia are not your states, if you give the right of making the decision due to “security reasons” to someone else, then do not be surprised when this “someone else” would adopt whatever decision it wants. For the same reason the domestic problems would not be resolved, because you can achieve something only within your country, and not someone else’s.

That is why I believe that the figures acting against the independence of Armenia, basically, are wrong. (I put the business interests, mafia relations aside. They do exist, but there is also a sincere delusion). They certainly will not confess that they are against independence, they will say that they are just in favor of deep and comprehensive cooperation with a strategic partner, they will also say that there are not perfectly independent countries in the world, and so on.
Hence, we must be patient to explain our lost brothers of where they are mistaken.
