Hovhannes Sahakyan, MP, member of RPA faction, in the conversation with Aravot.am, referred to MP Nikol Pashinyan’s question raised at the NA, which was directed to National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan as a President of the ASUE Council. To remind that Nikol Pashinyan, who recalled the incident taken place between the journalists and university students on the day of the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan’s dissertation, particularly saying, “It is not a University of Economics, but a den of hooligans, and it left the impression that den of hooligans is led by the Rector”, in response the NA Vice-Speaker, Edward Sharmazanov, urged not to go beyond the limits of correctness, noting that the NA Speaker has already answered the question. Nikol Pashinyan continued that how the question was answered if he had not asked it yet, adding why hooligan students and Rector Koryun Atoyan were not dismissed from the university, perhaps because the participants of hooligan actions have photographs with Hovik Abrahamyan and Serzh Sargsyan, and whether it means that people being photographed with NA Speaker or Serzh Sargsyan have indulgence to break the articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

In response to Nikol Pashinyan’s question, Hovik Abrahamyan said that he does not agree with his views, he does not share the assessments and consider it beyond correctness. Hovik Abrahamyan offered Nikol Pashinyan to show a justification by a lawyer or law enforcement saying about the hooligan act in the university and only then he will cause of action. In response to Aravot.am of which part of Nikol Pashinyan’s question was incorrect, perhaps, the part that Nikol Pashinyan assessed the incident as hooliganism, Hovhannes Sahakyan said, “I must say the following that, first, if we fully pronounce Nikol Pashinyan’s question and the other terms, you will see that the emphasis was very offensive, and at least the only institution in our country that are called to assess the act of hooliganism is the security office, the police. And it was expressed by Hovik Abrahamyan, saying that they are calling to assess whether the committed act is hooliganism or not, and not by personal opinion, or abusing.”

To the next question of whether you agree with Mr. Abrahamyan saying that unless there is no police report, the incident, videos and press publications can not be viewed as hooliganism, Hovhannes Sahakyan said, “I have followed the press, have seen that the police have files a case, and my information is limited with it. And if our law enforcement have initiated a criminal case, we should all believe and trust that the incident will be examined in detail and if there are people who have committed crimes will be punished.” To the observation of in your opinion this is done to obstruct and blacken Taron Margaryan, Hovhannes Sahakyan responded, “I do not think that something special is done to someone for something, or to obstruct Taron Margaryan, moreover, that I was not there.” In addition, in this respect, Hovik Abrahamyan said to Nikol Pashinyan that, in his opinion, “they were fake actions and they tried to overshadow the mayor’s move, which he tried to accomplish.”
