Raffi Hovannisian, leader “Heritage” party, also referred to the decision of Daniel Ionnisyan, a party member, to leave the party. In the conversation with us, Hovannisian said that he is proud of Daniel’s work and is confident “that he will continue to fight next to our people for a sovereign democratic country.”
Referring to Daniel’s pointed out disappointments, particularly the recent prayer with Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan, Mr. Hovannisian said, “I do not want to defile the history by responding to mercenary hints. I have not prayed with anyone at the Genocide Memorial. I had gone to read a requiem with my people to these imperfect authorities. And, he who joined the protest of people, who prayed with us, did well, he deserves appreciation for his praying, like people are jointly praying in Kiev Maidan now. And making it a civil, political weak mercenary charges, a subject for debates, is not justified, and are not even worthy of my response.” As said by the leader of “Heritage” party, when he came into the fight, many joined him later on. “Let’s none of us joins late next time and no one blames the other. I am sure that all government officials will join the fight of people by the remorse of their conscious and forgiveness of sins, with their prayers. And, he who brings the praying a year later as an argument for something, I think, he is short of arguments.”
