February 12,2014 16:41

“The authorities with its all wings are responsible for March 1”, – so responded ANC member Vahagn Khachatryan to the question of Aravot.am of who is in charge of March 1. Mr. Khachatryan assured that failing to disclose the sinners of March 1 tragic events is also under the responsibility of the authorities. In this regard, Vahagn Khachatryan emphasized, “The entire authorities, respective agencies, starting from decision makers up to executors.” Then he noted, “The opposition, on behalf of the ANC, had done its utmost to reveal the case.

This shows that all of the charges that were available and were directed against my friends and colleagues appeared to have nothing to do with reality.” The Secretary of the Armenian National Congress party, Samvel Abrahamyan, in response to our question, said, “Since 2008, we have come up with about 20 statements about it, and our statements are very specific. My opinion is entirely consistent with our statements.” According to the Secretary of the ANC faction, the responsibility for identifying the guilty for March 1 event also falls under the responsibility of the authorities. With this regard, he detailed, “The responsibility of identifying March 1 event, and, in general, similar tragic event in our country, falls on the authorities. The authorities not only failed to do anything regarding disclosure of the guilty for the event, moreover, did everything to conceal the matter. Hence, we again raise the issue of March 1 in this four-day session.”
