Dear Colleagues,
Distinguished guests,
First of all I would like to welcome all of you and extend my gratitude for active and contributive participation in the works of the Committee.
Our special thanks I would like to extend to Mrs Andrikiene and the EP Secretariat for organization of this meeting here, in Brussels. I must say that the agenda reflects in a best way our priorities, developments in general and current challenges.

This is our ordinary meeting and so far our joint work in the framework of this Committee proved to be very effective; we managed to create a constructive atmosphere, and due to the efforts of all of us, even discussing sensitive issues, in most cases common solutions have been found. I hope that today as well discussions on the items of the agenda will be useful for all delegations; being here, we are, first of all are, responsible before our voters.
Dear colleagues,
The Vilnius Summit is already in the past. It was very important and valuable in a sense that it proved the ability and readiness of the EU and EaP member states to combine the values and vital national interests of their countries. In this sense, I think that my country is one of the best examples. The fact that EU-Armenia joint statement in Vilnius reflects all major points of the Association Agreement is crucial for us. Continuing our active involvement in the Eastern Partnership, we remain committed to and responsible for further initiatives in the framework of Euronest. Our deep and comprehensive relations with the European Union have always been and still remain high on our agenda. This is our strong conviction, and we will continue this path.
Also, I would like to welcome our partners who initialized Association Agreements with the EU, and express hope that very soon the situation in Ukraine will be normalized, and our colleagues, friends from Ukraine will join Euronest works.
