“By using Tsarukyan’s name, Ter-Petrosyan warned not to appear in Ukrainian developments”. Psychologist

March 11,2014 21:12

In the conversation with Aravot.am, Ashot Hakobyan, Ph.D. in Psychology, analyzing the notion voiced by RA founder president Levon Ter-Petrosyan during March 1 rally with what PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan is less essential than Bidzina Ivanishvili, said, “The events going on in Ukraine are the result of mid-oligarchic relationship. It was obvious just from the beginning, and now it is already obvious that it had an evident manifestation with bloodshed and so on and so forth, it was to end in that way. I think that an episode from Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech just has such intent. His notion is somewhere a call, a warning that you may appear in the same kind of developments taking place in Ukraine, if you do not invest your appropriate opportunities in such transformation of social and political life, state and government system, in the result of which you would be able to gain a greater profit under the same financial capacities. Ter-Petrosyan is a very deep political figure, I think in terms of notion, it is a splendid idea, it remains to say with what mechanisms it should be done. Here, it is not the problem with personality of Gagik Tsarukyan rather than the problem with diagnosis of the same system. Yes, now we have encountered such dangerous developments, because if we draw parallels, though I don’t like them, however, in all cases to be persuasive I must say, this movement and developments in Ukraine began from the protest against justice, because the state, in fact, lacked for a simple, elementary principle of justice. In other words, there were people who had accumulated enormous wealth, and who, in fact, made a bet to transform Ukraine’s political, state and government system in a way that they could obtain a larger size of wealth within the European model. This is what they wanted, they did it, and it was done via human sacrifices, and now there are unforeseen developments. The entire state system is being destroyed. We are far from such developments, and the benchmark that was raised by Levon Ter-Petrosyan contains a rational kernel in it. Ultimately, we need to make an accent here to find main systemic solutions, because it is actually a capital, which should work rationally in the progress of the state and the economy, and should not have its possible consequences in our public life.”
