Eduard Sharmazanov does not rule out that the ANC, ARF and “Heritage” may join

March 13,2014 20:44

“We approach very positively to these meetings. They are natural processes”, said NA Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov to the question of Aravot.am of what he thinks about the PAP leader-ANC yesterday’s meeting. Our interlocutor reminded that it was not once that the ruling RPA had announced that it is for healthy opposition, consolidation of opposition, and ideological struggle. In the meantime, the PAP faction MP Ruben Gevorgyan was passing by the corridor, who raising his hand, greeted Eduard Sharmazanov. “Hello,” said Sharmazanov, adding, “Do you see how warmly we are greeting our PAP colleagues. How are you, Mr. Gevorgyan?” If such consultations continue, Sharmazanov does not exclude that Armenia’s political field will make the first step of the American model. “There are Democrats and Republicans in the U.S. We have Republicans, one pole is already clear. I do not rule out that the other pole will be formed by PAP, ANC, ARF, and “Heritage”. I am not saying today, but maybe we will go through the classic way and on the other pole, the smaller parties will make the first step towards joining the PAP.” Yesterday, the PAP leader announced that this meeting would cause health problems to some figures. We asked Eduard Sharmazanov, in his opinion, what he meant. “I do not know, ask the PAP figures. However, we approach such consolidations very positively.”
