Who intimidates by Santa Claus?

March 29,2014 14:15

“No government” propaganda at times accuses the “Baghramyan 26” campaign that it revives the shadow of Robert Kocharyan aiming to intimidate the public and discredit the activities of the “great four” towards the government’s resignation. I believe. It is very likely that the advocates sitting in the presidential apply to such tricks.

But, on the other hand, “non-government members” are saying that Kocharyan’s government was a period of blossoming and prosperity in Armenia: excellent economic results were recorded, there were no oligarchs and corruption, and we were not the outpost of Russia on foreign policy, we were totally independent. To be honest, I have not notices all these things, nevertheless, I again believe, maybe many people truly have lived in this paradise.

However, between the first and second allegations, agree that there are some discrepancies. If it was the golden era of Armenia, if people have nostalgic memories about the good things which he had enjoyed in the course of those 10 years, and at every moment blesses the second president, why “Baghramyan 26” intimidates by him. Usually, people are intimidated with a bad thing; people are not usually intimidated by a leader who provides prosperous, well-fed and safe life. Intimidation is made by such phenomena and the people who are causing negative emotions. Who has seen intimidating people by Santa Claus or Mother Teresa?

And if indeed the miracles occurred in 1998-2008, there is no need to advert to “Baghramyan 26”. It would be much more effective to leave all trickeries aside and openly say, “Here is the man who is endowed with an iron will, who hits the fist on the table, whom no one dares to say a bad word, and who would take our country out of this situation.”

Otherwise, an indefinite figure of a desired leader of the country with iron will and fist is introduced, and you do not understand what this is about. Maybe Putin? Indeed, he is a leader with high features of will. The same about Lukashenko. Or, maybe given the recent vote of Armenia in the UN, Robert Mugabe? He is also a man of strong will, he was executing the oppositions by shooting on the street without extra formalities.

What remains about me personally, I have repeatedly said that Armenia’s problems are not conditioned by the personality of any leader. It’s clear that in case of Kocharyan I will have some professional discomfort. However, it is, of course, a trifle.
