As we have already informed, yesterday, the PACE deprived the Russian delegation members from the right to vote for one year. The resolution of the PACE to deprive Russia from the right to vote until the year-end was adopted by 145 “pros”, 21 “cons”, and 22 “abstained” votes. According to the PACE website information, the PACE Armenian delegation members David Harutyunyan, Arpine Hovhannisyan, Naira Karapetyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, French envoy Jean-Claude Mignon and others are among the 21 voters voting “cons” to the resolution. The Azerbaijani delegates voted abstained. According to the PACE website, the Armenian delegation member, PAP faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan did not participate in the vote. Aravot.am asked Ms. Zohrabyan why she did not participate in the vote. The Armenian delegate replied, “The Azerbaijani delegation is trying to include a Sarsang reservoir-related resolution in the PACE agenda, and during the vote that you are talking about, I was in a meeting with a number of European MPs explaining them the next absurdity of Azerbaijani initiative. There was no other problem.”
