Stepan Safaryan. “PAP’s activities will become uncertain.”

April 14,2014 16:13

In response to the question of Aravot.am of what he thinks about the fact of Hovik Abrahamyan’s appointment as Prime Minister, the “Heritage” party Spokesman Stepan Safaryan said, “The same as with RPA. I do not think that special miracles may happen with the appointment of the new prime minister, this is important for Serzh Sargsyan, and I do not think that the appointment of the new prime minister was to solve the problems of the society.

Obviously, Serzh Sargsyan needed investments-attracting Prime Minister, and obviously the President anticipates that Hovik Abrahamyan would bring in not yet arrived Russian investments to Armenia, particularly the “Rosneft” promised five hundred million, which has not yet arrived. And the second reason is solving the problems with PAP.” To our question that RPA spokesman did not rule out that PAP and ARF will enter the coalition, Mr. Safaryan refrained from commenting it, as long as it had not happened. He only said that if PAP does not enter the coalition, from this time onward it would hardly take the government as a target, as it was doing during the times of the former Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. “Therefore, if PAP is not going to raise the issue of Serzh Sargsyan’s resignation, then its political activities become a kind of uncertain.”
