Who will be in the new government staff from acting ministers?

April 14,2014 18:34

“Armen Movsisyan is definitely subject to dismissal. One Minister who had lied to us saying that the energy resources will not go up, but they did, should definitely go away”, so responded “Heritage” party Vide-President Armen Martirosyan to the question of Aravot.am of whether the current Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia Armen Movsisyan will continue to hold his office in the new government staff. Then he added, “But he was profitable to the government.” To our observation of therefore it is possible for his to continue his office, Mr. Martirosyan responded, “Now, the persons are not important for me, rather than the political direction. And as to how it will be, it becomes already known after Hovik Abrahamyan’s appointment.” Armen Martirosyan noted that he would like “for Armen Ashotyan and Seyran Ohanyan continue holding their positions of ministers.” Note that there are rumors that the head of the government’s staff Vache Gabrielyan will be replaced by David Harutyunyan, Mr. Martirosyan responded, “Nothing will change, though I would like them to be the ministers. Hovik Abrahamyan’s appointment already speaks about what policy will be conducted. For me, the political direction is important, and not the person who will run the office.” We inquired whether there is a risk for Artem Asatryan to be dismissed. Armen Martirosyan replied, “The matter that he is a professional minister is definite for me. But the policy that was conducted after his being appointed shows that perhaps he, too, may become a scapegoat. For me, the problem was not with Tigran Sargsyan but the authorities and the government systems.” To the question of whether the acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian will continue in office, Mr. Martirosyan said the following, “The matter that Mr. Nalbandian may also be replaced, it’s not new, it began after the Armenian-Turkish protocols. Nevertheless, it is clear that the foreign policy is determined by the president of the country, therefore, I think that we need to change the decision-maker rather than the implementer.”
