According to the Russian official propaganda (to which, of course, the vast majority of Armenians believe), in the last fall, nationalists and extremists were gathered in Maidan who were executing the order of their western masters. And it was only “indecision” of Yanukovich due to which the coup failed from preventing. And now, pursuant to the same advocates, the people in Eastern Ukraine is revolting against the same nationalists and extremists who dare to send troops against these “rebellious”.
According to Western propaganda, just the opposite, the people in Maidan was revolting against the Yanukovich regime that has stepped back before Russia, and had carried out a revolution. However, independent Ukraine is not beneficial to despotic and imperialistic ambitions possessing Russia, which, in the beginning, “forcedly” merged Crimea, and now has attacked Eastern Ukraine with the help of terrorist.
In both cases, there is a “nation”, which, as we know, is always right, there are positive heroes who carry out the desires of these people, and there are extremely negative images that are connected with the overseas “dark forces”. Naturally, a question arises, so, where is “the right thing”?
The right thing is there, where human blood is not shed, where civilians are not armed, where there are no Maidan or, let’s say, Lugansk “self-defense” forces. When Chechnya was in a war, in one of his press conferences, Putin quite rightly rebuked the western media, “Why do you call illegal armed units rebels (rebels)?” And, now, why are Russian official circles doing approximately the same to those who conduct armed attacks on government buildings in western Ukraine? Or, why was the West making the people hero who were doing the same in Kiev?

I often hear in Armenia, too, unless people take on weapons, nothing will change. Yes, many things will change by force of arms, as it was changed in case of Suret Huseynov in Azerbaijan, or “Mkhedrioni” in Georgia. It will also change that after passing the border, everything would be permitted, and those coming to power by arms would leave by arms.
Thank the Lord, Armenia’s political elite is far from such manifestations. They are only fighting over who will better serve Putin and will take over the corruption levers. Let them fight; there is neither harm nor benefit from it.
