“This government deports the people from their country. RPA bears the responsibility that Armenians are deported from their homeland”, such opinion was expressed by “Karabakh” committee member Ashot Manucharyan. The statistics also prove the growth in migration rates. The matter that the number of people having permanent residence in Armenia is decreasing year by year, this is also proved by the figures brought by the National Statistical Service. For example, as of January 1, 2014, Armenia had 3 million 17 thousand 400 people with permanent residence. Compared to the same period of the previous year, this is 9500 people less. As of January 1, 2013, the number of people with permanent residence in Armenia was 3 million 26 thousand 900 people. Aravot.am asked the Secretary of RPA faction Hovhannes Sahakyan whether RPA has a sense of guilt for this picture. Mr. Sahakyan replied, “I do not think that RPA should respond or sound an assessment to every person saying a word. There is no logic here.” Pertaining to the question of Republican’s having a sense of guilt, Mr. Sahakyan responded, “If there is an immigration, the rates are great, and if we are putting some emphasizes, they first need to be considered in the context. We know that the world is open today, people are leaving for outdoor work, there is a social problem, and some display of overall atmosphere. The changes that Serzh Sargsyan has commenced, to some extent and logic, will be visible in everyday life. The phenomena, which once were talked about by the former government and the leader, now positive shifts will happen. I do not think that you should ask such questions to understand RPA’s senses and feelings, to understand that we never disclaim our responsibility in any matter.
