I know why Konchita was the winner at the “Eurovision”. Because here, in Armenia, our compatriots “inspired with national spirit” and “fiving a fight for the type of Armenian”, with the foam in their mouths, could be able to save our younger generation from the abuses of malicious and degenerated Europeans.
I know why the Minsk Group Co-Chairs from time to time are reminding of which document of Karabakh settlement is put on the table. The Co-chairs are willing to raise the wave of patriotism in Armenia and Azerbaijan so that the people, again “inspired with national spirit”, principled and uncompromising, by beating their chest would shout “not an inch of land to the enemy,” as well as publicly disgrace the “traitors of Karabakh” and “those denying the blood of victims.” The Co-chairs, therefore, are doing a good work by giving a chance to demonstrate their commitment to national goals.
Since I do not have any pretensions of being obsessed with something, I will say that although “konchitas”, to say the least, generate negative feelings in me, I find that Armenia’s problems are not due to the existence of gays, transvestites or sects (as well as Turks, Jews and Masons) in our country or in the world. And this kind of contest like “Eurovision” does not deserve much to be talked about. As far as I have no desire to extort “likes” and “applauses”, I must also say that the funded pension is a good idea, which, however, must be exercised not with Bolshevik coercion, but by generating the interest of employees and employers, financially. Well, with regard to speedometers, I have already repeatedly expressed my non-populist views.
Despite of those beating their chests, I would like to express my opinion on the Karabakh issue. I want to normalize the relations with our neighbors based on mutual concessions. However, in the six elements published by the Co-chairs, I do not see for the sake of what we should go for concession, and in particular, appear in a more vulnerable situation, in terms of military, than we are today. For the sake of some mysterious “expression of will” promise. Who is going to organize this “expression of will”? And who will be expressing the will? The answers to such questions are likely to emerge during negotiations and discussions. But, of course, those who are saying, “Not to discuss and negotiate”, are more dedicated to the nation and are more fond of the homeland.
