Recently, the Head of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office Artur Sakunts announced that he is going to refer to March 1 investigation and voice the names of officials participating in the crime. In particular, Sakunts mentioned the names of Surik Khachatryan, Ruben Hayrapetyan, Hovik Abrahamyan, Harutyun Pambukyan, Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan, and Mikael Harutyunyan, and also mentioned that the governors, too, must be involved in the case. In this regard, in the conversation with Aravot.am, RPA MP Manvel Badeyan assured that he does not take the statement made by Sakunts serious. “I want to understand how the Tavush governor, or, let’s say, Syunik governor, or Gegharkunik governor are related to March 1 events. If so, let them invite the heads of housing and communal services, let’s also invite the leading professionals of the ministries. It makes no sense.
The investigation should be conducted to identify the culprits. How are the governors related?” Manvel Badeyan suggested waiting for the trial results for revealing the March 1 event. RPA member Rafik Petrosyan assured that he is not familiar with the list of March 1 “culprits” that they want to add to it. “People may talk what they want. First, let them find out the list of main culprits, then add or reduce. And the culprits are to be found out by the prosecutor’s office through investigation. The case is filed, and the investigation is underway.”
