“They lack in public support, hence, their resignation is always on the agenda. It may be tomorrow, or in a month. I am realistic about it”, so responded ANC Board member Vahagn Khachatryan, in response to the question of Aravot.am whether he agrees with the opinion that Hovik Abrahamyan’s government is temporary, and it will soon resign. Recall that the leader of the “Heritage” faction, Ruben Hakobyan, had mentioned that Hovik Abrahamyan’s government would soon resign. Mr. Khachatryan was reluctant to make specific predictions about the resignation, but mentioned, “Within the logic of statehood, this system has long been left, and people would not exist. But, in the absence of logic of statehood or the state-building, this system is very viable, because circumvention of the laws and Constitution, failure to accept the principles of the state, and living under the rules of the game with the arrangements in-between the friendship is very natural. Hence, they are using all of this to be able to survive long-term. Based on this, my principle is that Hovik Abrahamyan’s government may resign even tomorrow, because it lacks in public support. It does not have the resources. And the words that were available in today’s government program that we once again proved that we have the public support, we received the majority in the next elections, was another deceit.” To our observation that there are many reminders voiced from the ruling class, particularly Hovhannes Sahakyan reminded Lyudmila Sargsyan that before talking on behalf of the people, first it is necessary to be able to talk to the extent of enjoying the people’s proportion confidence, Vahagn Khachatryan responded, “Their cynicism and behavior is due to it. They have not obtained this majority under the law and the Constitution, which meant getting the people’s vote. They have written it for themselves, and defined the wording. What happened on the last day of voting in the National Assembly. They are doing it by force, in violation of the law.” Bringing the example of the elections held in Ukraine and Europe, Mr. Khachatryan emphasized that in the result of the elections in these countries, the said party really received the majority vote, and the other participants accepted the legitimacy of the majority votes. On this background, Mr. Khachatryan added, “If such situation occurs in Armenia I, as a politician, will announce that there is a majority formed in the result of people’s voting, on behalf of this force, and it should rule Armenian in the first four years. I will accept the rules of this game that is written by the Constitution, and the law, plus the leadership by the majority. But since these provisions are missing, I do not accept that they are the majority. Today, they are the minority in Armenia and it is testified by any survey, meeting, including their explanations. You remember Tigran Sargsyan’s words why we did not have success in the reforms, because people do not have confidence, and faith. And this testifies that they have not receive the majority vote.”
