EU Ambassador draws the winners of the third EU Bus tour lottery

4 June 2014, YEREVAN – An official prize draw of the second EU Bus tour lottery was held at the EU Centre on Wednesday, 4 June 2014. The Head of the Eu Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea  drew the names of the lucky winners.

The first prize went to Samvel Ghulyan; the second prize went to Hovakim Terteryan and the third prize was won by Arman Azizyan. Please go to our website www.eucentre.am to see the names of all the winners. The EU Centre will also contact the winners directly.

In the words of the Ambassador Traian Hristea it is good that people are interested in the lottery and put their knowledge on test. “Not too many people got all eight question correct but we are delighted by the fact that no-one got all questions wrong,” Ambassador said.

Lottery participants had to fill in a questionnaire about the European Union and Member States. 927 people took part in the lottery during the Europe Day Information Fair on 24 May and during the third EU Bus tour in Aragatsotn, Armavir and Kotayk marzes from 26 – 30 May 2014. 115 people answered all questions correctly and everybody got at least one question right.

The first prize is a T-shirt with the logos of the European Union and the EU Centre and a goodie bag, the second prize is an umbrella with the logos of the European Union and the EU Centre and goodie bag and the third prize is a mug with the logos of the European Union and the EU Centre and a goodie bag.

The EU Centre is the main feature of the EU funded project “Support to the EU communication on reforms in Armenia”. Its goal is to raise awareness on EU development cooperation in Armenia and support education on the European Union. The centre’s website is a gateway to EU cooperation with Armenia. The duration of the project is two years.
