A few days ago, the members of “I am Against” initiative announced about the pressures over the employees in various institutions of Armenia. In particular, it was about the funded pension system, the application form, which must be completed by the employees who refuse to let their deductions made. The members of “I am Against” initiative mentioned that compulsion over the employees are made at No. 65, 97, 69, 66, 38, 172, 173, 31, and 114 schools, Yerevan State Linguistic University named after V. Brusov, “Grand Tobacco”, “Nork-Marash Medical center” and other institutions.
However, in the conversation with Aravot.am, the responsible officials of the above-mentioned institutions negated the rumors about compulsion. The school principal of school No. 69, Hripsime Beknazaryan, in the conversation with us told that the new funded pension system refers only to 3-4 employees of her staff. Furthermore, she detailed, “I have told them if I want you may write applications. But one of them is on maternity leave, and the other three told that they want to pass to this pension system. I know my employees for 100 percent, we are in free and relaxed relationships with each other at school, I have even introduced them the application form, and I had said, if you want, you may write. What else could I do other than this?” Tsolak Akopyan, pro-Rector on Youth and Public Relations at the Yerevan State Linguistic University named after V. Brusov, mentioned, “It is a blatant lie, I am the pro-Rector, and I coordinate the work with the youth, I’ve never heard of such a thing. Today, when we tried to find out what information is being disseminated, it turned out that an anonymous letter was sent to “I am Against” initiative. That’s a lie, and definitely does not meet the reality. According to the law, we have announces to all employees that they are free, if they wish, they can write the applications. The school principle of No. 97 school, Susanna Davtyan, assured that the funded pension system implied to 14 employees of her school, but none of them had appealed to him to write the application. Furthermore, she detailed, “Whoever wants may come to me together with the disturbing teacher and tell me that she wanted to write the application and I had threatened her, to avoid speaking in abstract but substantially. Who alerted, has a problem, and if someone would call you and tell that she had came to my office and was rejected or threatened, let her say, why you have rejected me. But they mess up everything so that could not call for moral responsibility for referring to the school No 97.”
