“Dmitry Kiselyov, most likely, has confused cordial reception with other phenomena. He maybe is not so well informed about the Armenians traditions, and does not know that we are excessively warm to each guest entering our home, but also, we always and firmly decide how to live in our home, what to do or what to treat. This is just for bearing in mind,” such opinion was expressed by RPA faction MP Karen Avagyan, in the conversation with Aravot.am. Recall that on June 11, the Director General of “Rossia Segodnya” Information Agency, Dmitry Kiselyov, has raised the issue at the National Assembly about declaring the Russian language in Armenia as the second official language. Later, Mr. Avagyan mentioned, “I am sorry that such a noise was raised from a careless remark. We should not allow such phenomena be given fluffiness and viewed in the context of Armenian-Russian relations. This is a gross error. The Armenian-Russian relations have very deep roots and are very strong, and no one can harm their progressive development. And the Russian individual political scientists or journalists would be better helping us to develop these relationships rather than deliver speeches to right and left with a tutorial manner by raising anti-Russia ups and downs in our society. This is a wrong practice, and we will do everything we can to maintain and develop the widespread positive attitude existing in our society to Russia and the Russian people”.
