Will the ANC, ARF and “Heritage” demand Robert Kocharyan’s “resignation”…
In the interview to “Radio Liberty”, the PAP faction MP Stepan Margaryan spoke out saying that he is very happy that the second president “having a long-term experience of governing and ruling Armenia and being better familiar with these situations, is giving almost the same estimates that were published by the Quartet… “. Later, the PAP MP stated that it is possible to cooperate with Kocharyan. “It means one thing: the Quartet is on the right track, it has point out the problems correctly about which many are talking, including Kocharyan.” Let’s leave aside the naive question of whether Kocharyan follows after the issues pointed out by the “Quartet” or the “Quartet” follows after the political platforms drawn by Kocharyan. The ordinary PAP member and ANC members may not have the answer to this question. However, one thing we need to state today that the statement made by a PAP member, a party established by Kocharyan, is not a surprise at all for those who have never separated Kocharyan from PAP. If there are really those who are “surprised”, then it is, as they say, their problem, because the first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, has clearly visualized and still sees at least the ANC activities, starting from the very first day of “political-scientific analysis”, and its possible consequences. What has been done during these two and a half years, was done by conscious, hence, the rest, as they say, is a lyric… Today, to take by surprise and say, “Save, PAP is treacherously returning Kocharyan to politics,” is just a nonsense, because Kocharyan has not only been a figure in the political arena, but also the PAP has always maintained a reverence towards him, by considering him a “spiritual father”. While some in the meantime were consistently following PAP party’s isolation from Serzh Sargsyan’s “criminal regime” and were admired by manifestations of self-determination of this party, today those taken by surprise could raise a question about whether PAP is isolated from Robert Kocharyan… But, still today, it is possible to solve one, not a compound task without tragic shouts. If the three out of non-government forces, apart from PAP, want to prove that they are not playing on Robert Kocharyan’s ground, they can separately or together, disseminate one statement in only a few hours that they do not have a path to go with Robert Kocharyan… Will ANC, ARF and “Heritage” demand Robert Kocharyan’s “resignation”? If not, then the “magnificent four” can rightly be called a “magnificent five”, a unity of four non-government forces and Robert Kocharyan. Kocharyan is simply preparing his access until autumn by more actively positioning in “non-governmental” arena, if not ruling them. In general, everything is fine… the rally of the “magnificent four” expected in the fall may obtain a unique color, when, for example, Robert Kocharyan and Levon Ter-Petrosyan would stand in the Freedom Square, shoulder to shoulder. Will anyone dare to speak about March 1 “villainy”, or recall the speeches voiced in the Freedom Square in 2007-2008 about the ten years of Kocharyan’s ruling …? In reality, the Armenian political field is actually “purifying” … The “self-purified” opposition has long ago outlined the way, which sooner or later must be put on public display. The start of its preparation phase was the “political-scientific analysis”, which from the day of its emergence up to now, everything has proceeded in conformity to natural laws. Therefore, there is no need to lose time on weeping.
