Robert Kocharyan puts himself in the place of the President of “Achilles” NGO

July 01,2014 18:40

According to Azat Arshakyan, in his interview, the second president should have talked about more weighty topics rather than seizing the business of “Achilles” NGO

“It is good that the second president is talking about the events in Armenia. The ex-president should be experienced, a citizen saying a weighty word. People need to take his words into account and respond very politely. However, I think that there is a serious misunderstanding in Robert Kocharyan’s interview,” such opinion was expressed by the former MP of Supreme Council, Azat Arshakyan, in the conversation with Aravot.am. According to him, “The first question, about which the responsible politician should talk is the follows, Long live the independent Armenia, we will not step back, we will not concede anything from our sovereignty, I have left a legacy, maintain the legacy that I have left, do not cede sovereign, free and democratic Armenia. He should have had this kind of right. Because the issue of Armenia’s sovereignty is a much more important issue. He should have told that if Armenia refuses its sovereignty, then our choice should be in favor of free union, democratic union, and high standard of living providing union and not in favor of backwards moving and anti-democratic union. He should have started from it and criticized the step of entering into the Eurasian Union, because currently he is the acting president, nor the chief commander of the troops. He can be bolder in expressing his opinion as a citizen. And if the citizen’s opinion does not defend the sovereignty, the country’s security and well-being of citizens, all other issues are secondary, tertiary and denary.” In his interview, Robert Kocharyan talked about video-camera and photo devices, the red-line systems and large-size penalties. He complained that the super profit of private companies is provided by the government authorities, with work hard, which is absurd and cynical and does not fit any definition of morality, and is contrary to common sense and the experience of civilized world. As observed by Azat Arshakyan, Robert Kocharyan was put himself in the place of Achilles NGO. “With great success, now, the President of the NGO protecting the rights of the drivers is protecting the right of the drivers. I wish the second president would say that I am shed great efforts over 10 years, I have demonstrate a political will, I have established a trade union of drivers, a trade union of transport workers. I call them to stage a general strike for one month, how long is needed. Let’s see, how they are drawing red lines on our roads, and installing speedometers. Who grabs us? He must withdraw the trade unions that has created over 10 years. In that case, I would say, long live the president, but not seizing the business of the “Achilles” NGO.”
