Russian wealthy Levon Hayrapetyan is arrested. Its reaction in Armenia is as follows: “Our men are beaten.” Of course, this businessman, originated from Artsakh, has given a great charity to Karabakh. Glory and honor to him. But, to assert with hundred percent confidence that this arrest is associated with Armenia or Artsakh, at least for now is anachronistic.
It is clear that “finding a dirt” on any major businessman in Russia takes 5 minutes. It is almost excluded that one may become a millionaire in our country without breaking the law. From this perspective, it is quite possible that the charges put forward against Hayrapetyan has a political or, more likely, economic context. Moreover, the content of the charge, money laundering, to put it mildly, is extremely versatile. In other words, Hayrapetyan’s activities were an obstacle to any Russian businessman or criminal grouping, and with their “purity”, Russian famous law enforcement agencies have decided to “take him out of the operation” by using such manners.
Still a big question of whether this is associated with Armenian reality. Generally, we have the following problem in Armenia, being a mono-ethnic state, almost exclusively communicating with Armenians, it is hard to purely subconsciously imagine that there are also other nations in the world apart from Armenians. Also, it is difficult to assume that these other nations do not deal with us from morning till night and do not think of us. The meaning of the life for these nations is not doing any favor or harm to us, Armenians.

It also has a reverse side of the medal, because the whole world is engaged in our affairs, we may not be engaged in them. Then, why do we “make a headache” for our state? Better for us, let’s hand over the exclusive right of responsibility to someone else and see what happens to us. And the whole debate is purely about who form outer forces are “good” and who are “bad”.
In principle, this question is, of course, solved. The “good ones” ensure our security, protect, one might say, rescue us from the “bad ones.” True, sometimes they arm these same “bad ones”, who every day promises to destroy us. Sometimes, they also (probably taking a bribe from the “bad ones”) arrest Armenian businessmen. But, it is certainly a temporary deviation, which eventually confirms our perception of the world. More precisely, the mythology.
…Maybe, the assassination attempt against the Ukrainian Interior Affairs Minister, Arsen Avakov, is also encroachment on Armenian people?
