Paruyr Hayrikyan. “Not the state but the culprit must compensate for the damage caused by him.”

July 22,2014 15:02

Aravot.am asked the NSDU leader, Paruyr Hayrikyan, about the reasons for applying to the court for compensation, but the latter replied that he is unaware of the claim and asked to talk about it to his lawyer, Levon Baghdasaryan.

The RA Ministry of Health had allocated 20.500 thousand drams to make rehabilitation of Paruyr Hayrikyan’s health in European leading clinic more effective after the attempt of murder against him.

As asked Mr. Hayrikyan whether the government allocated amount was not sufficient, and this is the cause of the claim, he answered that he would very much like as it is adopted in the world to be treated at the expense of the person causing damage. “The culprit must compensate for the damage cause by him, and not the state, which I like very much.”

Lawyer Levon Barseghyan informed Aravot.am that today, on July 21, the next court session was pending at the Kentron and Nork Marash General Jurisdiction Court. “The compensation matter was put forwards since the time when he was recognized an aggrieved party and the circumstances were available that the latter suffered damages as a result of a criminal offense.”

And as for the funds allocated by the government for treatment, according to him, has absolutely nothing to do with the damage. The lawyer mentioned that they are requesting 40 million compensation from Vardan Sedrakyan, Samvel Harutyunyan and Khachatur Poghosyan who are convicted of the charges to carry out an attempted murder. “This amount includes all the amounts, as much as Paruyr Hayrikyan had suffered.”
