“NATO summit did not produce positive results.” Yervand Bozoyan

September 09,2014 16:36

“In my opinion, the NATO summit did not produce positive results. In terms of territorial, it mainly referred to Ukraine, and the processes taking place in northern Iraq, and, unfortunately, the Nagorno-Karabakh resolution did not change significantly. NATO’s task was to touch upon these problems in so far as they are associated with Russia. In fact, it can be said that the Nagorno-Karabakh issue was left out of the summit, and a not favorable resolution for us was adopted, which was about the necessity for territorial integrity of the countries in the south, but there was no word about the importance of self-determination of nations”, said told political analyst, Yervand Bozoyan, today, at the meeting with journalists, referring to recent events.

Turning to the domestic politics, particularly to the autumn session of the National Assembly, the political analyst said that there are new challenges. One of them is the constitutional amendments elaborated by the government, which after a while can become the main topic. Currently, the issue of twelve clauses of the Quartet are on the agenda, the discussion of which, according to Yervand Bozoyan, will produce results, and after that, we can talk about the upcoming new processes. “The difference of political camps is visible to me, but there is no final preciseness. When the process starts, then it will be clear who is where in the camps. I am talking not only about the parliamentary political parties but also extra-parliamentary political forces,” wrapped up the political analyst.
