German Parliamentarian. Most likely, Bundestag will discuss the resolution on the genocide

“I’m not a historian or a scientist, and this is the reason why I cannot tell who is right and who is wrong.” This is the response of a member of Foreign Relations Committee, also a German Parliament member belonging to the CDU/CSU political party, Manfred Grund, to Aravot.am, that next year is the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, and Germany is among the countries that does not recognize the Armenian Genocide. The German parliament member mentions that it is a fact that one and a half million Armenians were killed. He says that ahead to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, he has spoken with the head of the Bundestag and including now they are discussing about what format to choose to commemorate “the 100th anniversary of this terrible crime” next year. “Most likely, Bundestag would pass a resolution on these events, and debates will be organized within the Bundestag”, assures the German MP to Aravot.am.
