How much money is paid to the “International New York Times” for publishing the material about Serzh Sargsyan?

September 27,2014 12:57

“It’s not the first time, there have been numerous articles during Robert Kocharyan’s tenure, and during the times of Vardan Oskanyan and Edward Nalbandyan”, so responded the RA former Foreign Minister Alexander Arzumanyan to the question of Aravot.am of what the RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s authored article entitled “The World War I and the Armenian Genocide” published in the American “International New York Times” periodicals will produce to Armenia. Note that yesterday it became clear that the American periodical had published Serzh Sargsyan’s article on promotional basis and was paid for it. We asked Mr. Arzumanyan about approximately how much money is paid for such materials, Mr. Arzumanyan recalling the “costs” of his years in foreign policy said, about 25 thousand dollars. Then he said that he is almost certain that the money for printing Serzh Sargsyan’s article was not paid from the state budget of Armenia, moreover, he is almost sure of who has paid the money. In this context, it is also worth remembering that Tigran Sargsyan is the Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia to the United States.

However, Alexander Arzumanyan thinks that there is no problem, “eventually, it is a viewpoint that you divulge, it is better to divulge for your country. You just need to be honest, otherwise it is not the point that the “International New York Times” was day and night waiting for our article”.
