The PACE Bureau decision on preparing a report entitled “Increase in violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and Other Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan”, as observed by Yervand Bozoyan, is a manifestation of subjective and biased sentiment by PACE to the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Note that yesterday, the delegate representing the Netherlands, Tiny Kox, submitted the report on Karabakh to the Assembly for approval. But, in the result of voting, the proposal was rejected by 41 pros and 74 cons. “Azerbaijan’s lobbying organizations are able to conduct such resolutions by oil-dollars. But as shown by the vote, this time they will not be successful in implementing this initiative. Azerbaijanis will keep trying to do something like this, and it is only due to the oil-dollar factor, but let’s not forget that such resolutions were passed in PACE against Azerbaijanis on human rights violations that the country fell into shock. Azerbaijan is constantly compared to the most shameful totalitarian countries.” According to political scientist, the issue of Karabakh is the number 10 problem for Europe. “It was a shock for us when Safarov was taken to Hungary and then extradited, it was unacceptable and amazing that European country took this step, but the issue of Karabakh is number 10 problem for European countries, they entered into a deal: money for Safarov. There are many similar operations in Europe for money, and we should not be surprised.”
