On October 8, in the framework of “Yerevan Perspectives” 15th International Music Festival, “Aram Khachaturian” music hall will host world-renowned pianist Alexei Lyubimov’s solo concert. In the conversation with Aravot.am, Director of “Yerevan Perspectives” festival, Sona Hovhannisyan, the pianist will play the works of Mozart, Schubert and Debussy. Ms. Hovhannisyan asserts that Lyubimov is the best performer of Mozart’s works in the world, and their fest is happy presenting such a musician in Armenia. Our interlocutor reminded that this year, “Yerevan Perspectives” has launched with 5 concerts dedicated to the 80th jubilee of Krzysztof Penderecki, which was followed by Elena Bashkirova’s solo concert, the Berlin State Orchestra led by Daniel Barenboim. Talking about Alexei Lyubimov, Sona Hovhannisyan stated that he is considered one of the most colorful and unique musicians in our reality. Lyubimov is giving master classes on historic clavier in Belgium, Britain and Austria, he is a permanent member of the jury of many international contests, also a Professor at the Salzburg “Mozarteum” University.
