“No, I’m not offended, it’s his personal opinion that I do not agree with”, so responded Raffi Hovannisian, the Head of “Heritage” political party, to the question of Aravot.am of whether he is not offended of the part in the speech delivered by the first president of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, during the rally of the Trio, in which Ter-Petrosyan, speaking of the accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), considered it an “irreversible reality” and qualified those fighting against it as “convulsion by two or three dozen people”. Note that Levon Ter-Petrosyan had announced, “The movement does not set a task of geopolitical orientations to him, and during the upcoming mass events, he is not going to talk on this topic.
In fact, there is not such a task in Armenia’s political agenda, because, as I have mentioned in one of my speeches, Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Union is an irreversible reality (1.03.2014). And, with this regard, the convulsion of two-three dozen individuals is already turning to ridicule, because two or three dozen people, in addition to stirring up people’s minds, under no circumstances are able to dictate a political agenda.” Once again, Raffi Hovhannisyan stated that they are against the accession to the EaEU and detailed, “We consider void signature by illegitimate presidency, as well as an anti-constitutional act. I do not think that those who oppose to signing have a problem with convulsion.”
