In the afternoon of October 16, Azerbaijani armed troops resumed firing at Barekamavan. The village mayor, Garik Abazyan, said that the shooting is done by “DSHK” (machine cannon) and the bullets hit the roofs and walls of the houses. Mostly, the shhotings were in the direction of the village school and lower residences, which are visible from Azerbaijani positions. Former village mayor of Barekamavan, Hovik Kharakeshishyan, said that his garden apple trees and pillars of the grape vines suffered from the Azerbaijani bullets. We learned from Barekamavan village mayor that despite the ongoing shootings and being in the fire zone, the classes in Barekamavan school are not canceled today.
