“I did not expect at all.” A reference to Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech

October 28,2014 13:57

The reference of the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan at the last rally of the parliamentary trio about Armenia’s accession to the EaEU prompted the Head of Gyumri Journalists’ Club “Asparez” Levon Barseghyan that he also belongs to the number of marginal mentioned by the first president. “Let’s not offend these analyses and sentiment toward Moscow, let’s not make Moscow angry, we will somehow get along with, later on, we will find something, I was told that I am very marginal in this context. For me, there is no appreciable difference between this change of power movement in pro-Kremlin and pro-Russian orientation and Serzh Sargsyan’s position. My interest has sharply fallen in this movement. I hope they would do their change of power. For me, it is not essential who the leader or the government of the country will be, when this country is not going to be independent, and the sovereignty – conceded to a country.

When it comes to good governing and more just, in other words, the regime or its successors will not steal the piece of bread from the people’s mouths are small consolation in the context of the government. I was expecting that the regime change would be on the ground of protecting one of the highest values. At the speech on “March 1,” the first president had already said that he is in harmony with the idea that Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union is irreversible. He confirmed and reinforced the idea in the last two rallies that one of the most important element in the strategy is in this very Union. I did not expect it at all. I do not care anymore what regime will be and who will be the ones in Armenia who will look at Putin: Serzhik or Poghos and Petros,” said Mr. Barseghyan.
