There are expressions in Armenian that are related to the human face, and it is apparent as to why. The face is the most important part of homo sapiens that expressed his emotions and intellect. Anyway, it should express. And if there are problems with the face, it already gives a negative characterization to the man, we say this man does have a face.
For example, we seem to be asking for a loan from the World Bank for the “Nairit” plant. To be honest, I would not have the face to do anything like that. Why? Because I’ve already spent billions of dollars from budget and non-budget on “Nairit” plant. The results are known. Do you remember back in the fall of 1990, when the Prime Minister Vazgen Manukyan had applied to the head of the Supreme Council with the same question? 24 years is not a short period of time. To ask for a “new” money, probably, it would be correct to find out what happened to the “old” money. No need to hang anyone or execute by shooting, just to determine for us and keep moving ahead.
Or, a more recent example. The “North-South” road. How much money is spent? How much is built? What a face should we have to ask for more money? If the construction continues with such paces, it will end approximate in 300 years. Perhaps, then, there would be other methods to transport people and other “animate objects”.
But, of course, the law enforcements beat all records of brazenness. For example, the Special Investigation Service.
