And this man is Gagik Tsarukyan

December 27,2014 15:57

When the country’s government and “non-government” is backed by a one-man

On January 20, 2015, the PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan will call a conference with “non -governmental” political forces, NGOs, civil initiatives and movements. They will be discussing the country’s current political and economic complex situation. This is an advisory nature of the event, which aims at analyzing and summarizing the extensive work already done, and discussing future actions and moves, recently announced G. Tsarukyan’s spokesman Iveta Tonoyan, emphasizing that it is not a PAP event but Gagik Tsarukyan’s personal initiative.

Thus, Gagik Tsarukyan does not limit to discussion and decision-making of issues vital for the country by the party format, which was expected given his recent months’ meetings hosted in his office with a number of political parties’ leaders: Garnik Isagulyan, Tigran Karapetyan, Aram Harutyunyan, and Hovhannes Harutyunyan, as well as the circulation of the press reports about them. As to what direction the nation-wide movement will be headed to after the meeting on January 20, perhaps the answer to this question will be given more precisely on this very day. However, an opposition has already been noticed in the hall or, more precisely, the preference of becoming a “non-government” hall.

In fact, the year of 2014 was marked exclusively by the fact that “non-government” leader’s positions strengthened. Now, it depends on Gagik Tsarukyan of whether the opposition would have a “fiery” fight and would “talk” with the government by rally, sit-in or march protests, or by hall conference hall and meeting tête-à-tête at the Cognac factory site with statesmen being forgotten in Armenia’s political arena. Tsarukyan did not demand Serzh Sargsyan’s resignation, moreover, it is obvious that he and his party members when criticizing the government authorities are more reserved and do not go beyond the limits, which the government can consider as a move “beyond the limits”. PAP spokesperson Tigran Urikhanyan’s statement made a few days ago was no accident that the Head of the National Security Service Gorik Hakobyan’s warnings do not refer to PAP.

Note that without giving names, the Head of the National Security Service urged to refrain from irresponsible calls about forced removal of the government authorities. “Some of nowadays figures are trying to once again engage the public into adventurous vortex and make irresponsible calls for upheaval and overthrow the government by force,” Said Gorik Hakobyan to “Armenpress” agency, emphasizing that the National Security agencies are not going to follow these events as an outside observer, “We will take all necessary measures to decisively prevent any illegal manifestation aimed at disturbing the constitutional order of the Republic. This is not a threat, but we feel there is a need for a warning.”

As for the ANC, this political party accomplished its “mission”. Their efforts in making Gagik Tsarukyan “non-government” and “non-opposition” are undeniable. Now, there is nothing left for the ANC but to accept Tsarukyan’s invitations to attend this-or-that discussions. ANC accomplished one more “patriotic” task: informed the public that the leader of the nation-wide movement is respected Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, who, however, in no way seizes the power from Serzh Sargsyan and does not donate it to Gagik Tsarukyan or Robert Kocharyan. Today, ANC considers one of its achievements, for example, the interview of once Russian expert, now a Kiselyov propagandist that “Ter-Petrosyan is “not a pro pro-Western at all.”

Thus, today, the once powerful opposition force is in delight and inspired by a similar one or two publications to “prove” how exactly it works. In reality, however, it is a tragedy, when the sole support of the activities of the first president of Armenia is as follows: “Putin is not so much fond of Serzh Sargsyan.” Followed by this formula shows the bankruptcy of political force, lack of strategy and tactics to implement a change of regime. The years of 2014 was quite useful with regard to potentials of the “non-government”. The year, surely, was successful for Gagik Tsarukyan, both strengthening its weight and influence over other forces in political sense and making investments in the business.

Recently, a “hotel complex that does not have its analogue in the region” was opened, which was attended not by colleague “opposition members”, but the government authorities. On the opening day of the Hotel, it appeared that the Prime Minister of Armenia was constrained until now when thinking about where the conferences should be held if other countries’ prime ministers and partners under the Eurasian Economic Union visit Armenia. Now, this problem is also solved; the government will use the opportunities provided by Gagik Tsarukyan. It is a good fortune when the government and “non-government” is backed by one-man, and this man is Gagik Tsarukyan.
