January 21,2015 16:54

Media experts announce that Azerbaijanis aggravate the situation

For a few days in a row, the media talked about the comments of the famous Armenian showman Garik Martirosyan pertaining to the event in Gyumri. Social networks were analyzing Armenian-origin showman’s words improper for an Armenian, who allegedly had considered the committed felony an “ordinary crime”. Garik Martirosyan was criticized for several days, but in fact, irrelevant. Later, in the interview to Life.panorama.am, Garik Martirosyan said, “I have not said anything about the tragic events in Gyumri. I think there is nothing to say. In these difficult times for us, nonsense is disseminated on my behalf trying to give other shades. I mourn together with all Armenians for the committed felony, and the perpetrator should bear his punishment.”

Everyone knows that the Facebook social network is full of fakes, fake users, who introduce themselves by the names of famous people, and attribute right to them to act in their stead. It was good that the response was not late and it turned out that Garik Martirosyan’s scandalous statement was the handiwork of fakes. Actually, what happened has another context. Garik Martirosyan, who enjoys the viewers’ love not only in Russia but also in the former CIS countries, makes the Azerbaijanis upset, which is also reflected in their media too. According to their publication, during the Comedy Club and Comedy Woman shows created by Armenians, the Armenian guys constantly voice the words “Armenia”, “Armenian”, “Yerevan” and teach everyone Armenian.

Our media experts periodically referred to fakes and warn about the dangers incurred from them, and with regard to this case, they mentioned in their Facebook pages from the beginning that they do not believe what Martirosyan has said. For example, information security expert Tigran Kocharyan said about the felony in Gyumri that the social network reader takes the bait, the situation is getting worse and anti-Russian sentiments are raised. He urged to follow the newsfeed that are trying to escalate the situation. “Everyone has forgotten about the motives and focused on collisions,” said Tigran Kocharyan and added that the Russians to some extent also aggravate the situation. Tigran Kocharyan has also emphasized that the Azerbaijani media are more than trying to escalate the Armenian-Russian tension. In this respect, media expert Samvel Martirosyan has also talked about the fakes, saying the following, “A great number of disinformation is circulating about the destruction of Avetisyan family and the incidents in Gyumri and in Armenia as a whole, whose sources are very different. Ranging from intentionally Azerbaijani or unknown sources up to Ukrainian cynical jokes that are taken seriously.” He has also presented their copies that were spread out not only on Facebook but also in the Twitter.
