Actor’s widow Tamar Hovhannisyan will make many “closed” pages available to the public
Actress Tamar Hovhannisyan, after leaving and creating in the USA for 17 years, in 2013 returned to her homeland forever. She announced that she will first time introduce herself to the Armenian audience with her scripted and staged “The Last Station” play and will first time present around 260 photos from the personal archive in the format of a book-album regarding her husband, Mher Mkrtchyan’s activities on the stage with accurate and honest comments. The actress fulfilled her first promise in 2014 at the H. Paronyan Musical Comedy State Theater, and the second one, the “Unseen Mher” book-album, in just one week will be presented to the public.

In the conversation with “Aravot”, Tamar Hovhannisyan informed that the book-album was published by “Antares” Media Holding with Zaven Boyajyan’s editing. Caption: The actress and the composer. “The photos in the book-album with their comments are published for the first time. They were with me for about 30 years. They cover the last 12 years of Mher Mkrtchyan’s life, from 1980 up to the last day of 1993, one period of triumph that we lived created and traveled together. In those years, Mher was my book for me, both on the stage and in the life that I am reading until now. I did not want to be so selfish and remain the only reader. The photos are presented in a chronological sequence, so that the reader may have some idea of our mutual life and scenic path. This is Mher’s life, and also mine. As well as the period of triumph in my life, which was spread on previous and following years. If there might be people who would look but do not believe or do not like, it’s up to them. And if you would like to remove me out of his biography, they cannot take him out of my biography,” said Mrs. Hovhannisyan.
