“This is the first chauvinistic comedy in the Armenian movie, where it openly talks about the moral character of an Armenian, which is higher than the value system of many newborn European nations,” says the film Director Ara Yernjakyan. The matter is about his new “Jeanne” comedy, whose premiere was held today, on February 26 at the “Moscow” cinema house. “The film was shot based on the story of Jeanne d’Arc, but it was totally “armenianizated”, – said A. Yernjakyan prior to the premiere of the film, – We all know this history. 600 years ago, Jeanne liberated the French city Orléans from the English, and then she was burned. But the film is more about our days and us. Here, the image of an Armenian man is promoted in a unique way, who, unfortunately, is gradually disappearing like a dinosaur. And it is a threat not only to Armenia, but also to the whole world,” said A. Yernjakyan. Jeanne’s character in the film is played by Annie Lupe, Andranik Harutyunyan played the character of the Armenian man named Khachik. Mkhitar Avetisyan played the role of the King of France, Rafayel Yeranosyan – the Cardinal. Other casts – Luisa Nersisyan, Irina Danielyan, Sergey Danielyan, Arsen Grigoryan, Senik Barseghyan and others.
